Have you seen the new projects by BCP Council? It’s always nice to see public resources being spent on public areas, especially those used by families and young people. Here’s a quick summary of what you can expect in Poole in the next few months.
A brand-new play area will be available on the green space between Arne Avenue and Arne Crescent, in Bourne, Alderney. It will replace the play area previously located next to Bourne Valley Youth Centre, as it has reached its end-of-use.
This is part of an exciting project to create a new Community Hub in Bourne. The play area should be open to the public in early spring and it will include equipment for all ages, including junior swings, a 12-metre zip wire, and a slalom rope walk, amongst other pieces.
The existing play area between Puddletown Crescent and Chaldon Road is currently being refurbished.
The old equipment will be replaced with brand-new and exciting additions, including new climbing frames for younger and older kids, an embankment slide, and a surf rider.
We can’t wait to see the new shiny play areas and try them out with our Mini-Mumblers. As always, we’ll keep an eye on these works, and we’ll update you as soon as they are ready.
In the meantime, you can find more details, on the BCP Council, Poole Projects website here.
