Over The Moon was set up early this year by myself; Abbie. Balancing a hectic personal life with raising my four children, I was seeking a career that could accommodate my family’s needs. However, returning to a traditional 9 to 5 job was not the right fit for me with my youngest being just 1 year old. I have always loved planning parties and surprising family members so I decided to give soft play parties a go. I’ll be honest it was a very slower burner and still can be a challenge. I sat in my small flat drowning in soft play bricks, just wanting to cry thinking I’ve made the worst mistake, questioning my decision and investment. I pulled myself together, I was determined not to fail before even getting started. Brainstorming ideas on how to utilise the equipment, the concept of “Over The Moon” was born! I knew there would be a very daunting journey ahead of me, considering my lack of business knowledge and ownership, I’ve never worked with children, a lot of self-doubt and anxiety crept in. A few months down the line, I now run two sessions: one at Branksome Community Centre on Mondays and the other at Moordown Community Centre on Tuesdays. The best thing is I am able to bring my two youngest children along with me if needed. Throughout this journey, I have met the most wonderful individuals, The cutest kids, embraced continuous learning and growth, and found immense joy in this new venture. I am so excited for the future and the opportunities it holds.
Over The Moon pop-up soft play offers a relaxed non structured play session for children aged 0-4yrs. From ball pits to ride-on cars, hoppers, and toys, your little ones are guaranteed to be entertained! Additionally, explore our dress-up corner, where you can find a range of costumes to ignite your child’s creativity as they step into the world of role-play! Our SEN den provides a secure space for emotional regulation. Over The Moon sessions are also a great way to meet other parents!
Two sessions currently available:
Term time only
Every Monday at Branksome Community Centre 9.30 til 10.30am.
First two Tuesdays of every month is at Moordown Community Centre 10.30 til 11.30am
Each session is £5 and can be paid on the day in cash or via card or you can book in advance.
We also have one off Themed/Collaboration events that pop-up all over Dorset so be sure to keep an eye out for those!
Alongside our Pop Up Soft Play Sessions you can also hire our soft play equipment for your celebrations. From birthday parties, christenings, weddings or other special occasions.
