Amanda is the head of our family law team and has over 15 years of experience in Litigation. She specialises in divorce and financial remedy proceedings in addition to claims brought under the Children Act 1989 which include Schedule 1 proceedings. She is also an expert in claims brought under the Trust of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1999. She is an experienced Advocate and frequently represents client’s in Court.

Amanda obtained her law degree from Bournemouth University in 2009 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2013 after completing a three year training contract whilst concurrently completing her Legal Practice Course at the University of West England. She joined our Firm in June 2021 as the head of family law and became a Director in January 2022.

Martin is Head of our Conveyancing Department and has over 20 years’ experience in this area of Law.

He has a BA in Law from Oxford and subsequently completed a training contract at Blackpool firm W.H.Darbyshire & Son.

He was admitted as a Solicitor in 2000 and has worked in conveyancing ever since. Martin joined MJP Law in 2021 and became a Director in 2024. He deals with sales, purchases, remortgages (including equity release / lifetime mortgages) and transfers of equity.
