Who doesn’t love to go and pick your own fresh fruit straight from the fields and do a little taste test here and there? It’s a fun family outing and we are very lucky to have some great places to choose from here in Dorset.

There is a huge variety of fruit (and vegetables) ready to pick including the all time favourites strawberries as well as raspberries, blueberries and gooseberries but its best to check with your choose farm before you visit because these will vary on demand and on how the weather has been.

Cat & Fiddle Farm Shop & PYO

The Cat & Fiddle Farm is located on the edge of the New Forest, where we grow lots of different fruit like
Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Tayberries, Gooseberries, Blackcurrants and Redcurrants. We also have an onsite Cafe.

Sopley Farm Shop & Bakery

Open Daily 9am-6pm from the 7th of June 2024 (including bank holidays) PYO June-August.

Sopley Farm, Derritt Lane, Sopley, Christchurch, BH23 7AZ.

On the edge of the New Forest, these farms grow many varieties of fruit and vegetables for Pick-Your-Own as well as ready picked. No entrance fee, and card payments are accepted. A great day out for the family to enjoy the play area (at Sopley Farm only), a cream tea at the cafe or a packed lunch at the picnic areas.

Trehane Blueberries PYO

Open early July 2024 (Cafe is now open).

Trehane Nursery, Stapehill Rd, Wimborne, BH21 7ND.

Located in Wimborne, delicious PYO blueberries available while in season. A great day out for the entire family. Have a treat at the cafe or a play at the wood chip kitchen. But watch out for the Blueberry Monster!

Forde Abbey Fruit Farm

Open daily 9.30am – 6pm from June onwards.

Sign posted on local roads – 4 miles SE of Chard at TA20 4NA (Dorset/Sommerset Boarder)

We have strawberries grown at table top height for easy picking along with gooseberries; followed by blackcurrants, red currants and raspberries.
