Join in this October to celebrate a spooky pumpkin season at the Patch with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, a Halloween maze, an Escape Room, Witch Crafts, Hot food and drinks and incredible handmade photo opportunities.
There are over 20 varieties of pumpkins for you to pick, from the Polar Bear to the Goosebump and even the cute Casparita and Munchkins (yes they are really called that!)
Keep your wits about you as you wind your way through the Murder Mystery Halloween Maze, solving the puzzles as you go to eliminate your suspects and work out who committed the crime. There is a Junior Sleuth’s trail or the more difficult Detectives Maze, suitable for the whole family to join in on.
Incredible bespoke photo opportunities await… The Pumpkin carriage is set to take centre stage alongside our handmade giant pumpkin scarecrows, a genuine Witch’s house, pumpkin houses and of course acres of beautiful pumpkins, wheelbarrows and smiles!
Picking Patch is also hosting weekly Twilight evenings, where you can enjoy getting lost in the maze by torchlight. Picking Patch will be open for PYO Pumpkins, hot food, marshmallow toasting and hot chocolates from 6pm-8pm. Twilight Maze entry from 7pm till 8.30pm with pre booked tickets only.
These evenings run on the 12th, 19th and 26th October.
Pumpkin Picking is FREE entry, just pay for what you pick.

The Pumpkin Pick at Farmer Palmer’s is running across October Half Term week.
The picturesque pumpkin patch will be opened for a few hours each day during half term so you can pick a pumpkin with your little ones. There will be props and mini-wheelbarrows in the field fit you want to get that perfect shot of your little one!
Normal admission prices apply to the farm park.

Opening late September the Cat and Fiddle PYO is a very popular choice for families to pick some pumpkins. The farm often has spooky late night hours and there is plenty of choice in the large fields.
There is no need to book, bring a torch and find your pumpkins. There is free parking, cafe and toilets on site.

The whole family will be entertained with an array of extras to get you all in the mood for the spooky Halloween festivities. There is pumpkin picking and you can try to find Gareth the Gorcombe Gremlin who is causing a little bit of havoc! There is even a reward given if you find him! Dont forget your wellies!
Cash only please – there is a cashpoint just down the road at Tesco (DT11 9PU) and there is no need to book. Well behaved dogs are welcome on short leads.
