Weekly classes and after school clubs for children aged 5 to 12 in Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and Surrounding Areas.

AFC Bournemouth Disability Programme

The disability programme offers a range of competitive and recreational sport opportunities as well as ensuring that all programmes run by the Community Sports Trust (FA Para Talent Hub) are accessible and inclusive for all players aged 7–16 years old.

Down’s Syndrome

Hearing Impaired

These are weekly football sessions for any player over the age of five with any form of physical, learning or behaviour difficulty. The sessions provide an opportunity for players to train and play competitive football or follow a recreational pathway.

Age groups and session times are as below:

U12 session – Players aged 5-12

Thursday between 4–5.30pm at the Littledown Centre

U16 Session – Players aged 12–16

Wednesday between 5.30–6.30pm at The Bourne Academy

Senior sessions – Players aged 16+

Monday between 5-6pm at Slades Park 3G

Places on these sessions must be pre-booked and no walk-ins will be accepted.

Bournemouth Lions Wheelchair Rugby

Bournemouth Lions offers an opportunity for young people (aged 8-17 years) to play regardless of their level of ability or understanding. We believe in inclusiveness bringing everyone together to play wheelchair rugby. All equipment is provided so you don’t need to buy your own wheelchair.

Kirsty offers a full programme of badminton for children ranging from 4-16 years old, adults, Disability Inclusive classes and 1-1s plus holiday camps during school holidays.

Dorset County Football Association

We develop and administer football across Dorset, offering opportunities to play, volunteer, coach and referee across all formats of the grassroots game in the county.

Training sessions available for everyone, from toddlers (aged 3+) to adults.

Also training and playing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities.

Green Cottage Riding Centre

We offer children’s horse riding lessons, adults horse riding lessons, for beginners and experienced riders, trekking, hacking and Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). Also Day Activity pony experiences, Birthday Parties, Pony Loans, Summer Camps and more.

Dorset Disability Cricket Club

Ferndown Leisure Center, Cherry Grove BH22 9EZ.

Fridays 5-6pm (sports hall)

Disability Cricket is for those with learning and/or physical disabilities (any age welcome).  It is run by qualified cricket coaches for a donation of £1.

For any parents/carers there is also an indoor walking football session Fridays 7-8pm for men&woman 50+ for all levels of ability. £4.10.

Poole Athletic Club

Everyone Active Leisure Centre, Adastral Road, Canford Heath, BH17 8RE.

Poole AC activities include Road Running, Cross Country and Track & Field Leagues. We have a busy calendar of events, training and social sessions. Everyone from 8 upwards is welcome, irrespective of ability. We’ll provide qualified coaches, encouragement and a friendly atmosphere.

SEND Sessions – Rock Reef

Thursdays, 4-5.30pm (term time only)

A new session to offer a safe environment for individuals to express themselves during a closed/protected session, enjoying the quieter and less hectic environment as experienced during a typical busy day.

Activities are suitable for children age 4 and up.
