The BCP Council Short Breaks scheme is for families of children and young people, aged up to 19 years, with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities.
We have different activities to choose from such as arts and crafts, activity days (on the beach in the summer!), swimming, archery, gym & trampolining, watersports etc.

Triple P group Evening Courses – 8 week evidence basked parenting program empowering you with strategies for positive parenting & less stress. 2-11yr olds.

On the first Saturday of the Month (excluding August) from 10am-12pm
Explore the Museum and take part in drop-in activities during these sessions, the large screens in the galleries will be turned off, and lights will be low where possible. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to help with any questions and there will also be sensory activities in the Learning Centre for visitors to dip into should they wish to.
No booking is required, and standard admission charges apply.

From 9-11am, all sounds and interactives will be turned off. The session is primarily for, but not limited to, children and adults with special educational needs and disabilities and their families, those living with mental health needs, adults living with dementia and visitors who may prefer a more relaxed experience.

TERM TIME ACTIVITIES:
Fortnightly Tuesday soft play sessions at Lemur Landings (Tower Park) (6.30 to 8.30pm). This is a family session which you can access with your brothers and sisters, however you must be accompanied by an adult.

A weekly Sunday family swim session at Montacute School Pool (10.00am to 12 noon). Children must be accompanied by an adult at this session

A new session to offer a safe environment for individuals to express themselves during a closed/protected session, enjoying the quieter and less hectic environment as experienced during a typical busy day.
Activities are suitable for children age 4 and up.
