Maritime Perspectives at the Lighthouse Poole

A full day of activities for all the family: drama, film festival, sea shanties, storytelling, pirate ship building and more.

There will be a new historic drama performed in the Sherling Studio. In 1718 Woodes Rogers, a Poole boy, confronted the most famous pirates of the Caribbean, as Royal Governor of the Bahamas. He saw off Blackbeard, Calico Jack Rackham and Anne Bonny to name but three. Come and see Scaplenโ€™s Court Players bring this exciting story to life โ€“ (12, 2 and 4pm).

An exciting Film Festival in the Cinema throughout the day will also berunning. Films to be announced!
