The Bluebell Woods Project aims to bring the acre of woodland at the back of St Michael’s Church, Hamworthy into community use.
First, we need to clear out overgrown invasive species that are damaging the woodland. Then, we need to coppice existing trees and improve the area for wildlife. Scouts, Guides, playgroups, etc, will be able to learn about and enjoy the woodland right here in Hamworthy!
Come and join the marvellous volunteers from Bluebell Community Woodland and Garden and Dorset Wildlife Trust on these dates:
Tuesday, 15th October
Saturday, 2nd November
Tuesday, 19th November
Tuesday, 3rd December
Saturday, 14th December
All days run 10.00-13.00 with a tea break.
Come and help make this amazing project happen – kit and training are provided – meet halfway down Cobb’s lane, at the side of St Michael’s Churchyard.
