Despite Halloween falling on the Tuesday after half term in 2023 there is still plenty of spooky activities happening in the half term in and around BCP. We will be updating this post if and when we spot some more fun stuff to do this half term!
During the Green Festival week there are a whole host of inspiring talks, plus craft sessions for all ages, the Saturday Green Fair on the Minster Green, tree-planting, a green trail to follow around Wimborne – and much more. Most of the festival is free with some chargeable workshops.
Drop in this holiday and carve some Pumpkins! Pumpkins and tools will be supplied,
Children must be accompanied by an adult due to the sharp tools being used.
Halloween Craft Workshops at the Gather – Dolphin Center Poole
Date: 23. & 24. October 2023 Time: Between 11am-2pm

Free Family Cooking Sessions at The Henry Brown
Date: 23. & 25. October 2023 Time: 11am-1pm
The Friendly Food Club in conjunction with Dorset Community Foundation are offering FREE family cooking sessions. Everything is provided and you eat what you make!

FREE Halloween Dance Classes at the Henry Brown
Date: 24. October 2023 Time: Classes on at 10.30-11.45am and 1.15-2.30pm.
Come along to a free dance workshop for children age 5+ & lunch at the Henry Brown with Pavilion Dance South West. Lunch available in the cafe from 12-1pm.

If you are visiting Moors Valley Country Park and Forest this half term check out all the fantastic free trails there are on offer from the popular Play Trail to the Music Trail or the high up Tree Top Trail or how about the brand new Zog – A Forest Adventure Trail there is something for everyone plus pop into the Ranger Den for FREE see below.

Ranger Den at Moors Valley Country Park
Date: 24. – 27. October 2023 Time: Open from 1 – 4pm
Ranger Den – Pop in and catch up with the rangers in their den and see the carnivorous plants, look up close and personal with micro world and meet some of the resident critters.

Halloween Trail at Moors Valley Country Park
Date: 27. September – 1. November 2023 Time:9am – 5pm
Join forces with Shadow the cat to help their new friend find her lost shoes on our brand new Halloween Trail! Its a 1.5 mile route aimed at children aged 3-9 years.
£2.50 per trail sheet collect from the Visitor Center.
Boo! Bat Trail at Highcliffe Castle
Date: 22. – 26. October 2023 Time: 10am-3pm
Visit Highcliffe Castle this October half term to complete our spooky Bat Trail. Included in normal admission price.

Little Explorers Spooky Spells & Ghastly Ghouls – Join us for a morning of spooky spells, ghastly ghouls and creepy crafts! No need to book! Pay on the day (£3.50). Museum admission is not included. (Annual pass holders go free).
