Works at Selkirk Close, Oakley due to start in September
A new exciting play area will be available in Oakley, Wimborne very soon. The project is a collaboration between two teams, Poole’s Parks & Open Spaces and Merley Park Project Group of local resident volunteers.
Although many projects have been put on hold due to COVID-19, works at Selkirk Close are due to start in mid-September. According to the plans, there will be interesting additions to existing equipment, including swings, two climbing frames – one for toddlers and one for older kids – a climbing playhouse, a Woodland Footprints Finger Maze, benches, a picnic table and more.
We are very excited about this project. It looks like an inclusive area which will welcome children of all ages and abilities while respecting nature. We even heard bird boxes will be installed by volunteers around the park to protect wildlife.
