Sparks is the UK’s leading provider of film and media activities for children and young people.
Through our local film school, which we have been running from Poole High School since April 2021, we have been providing fun and engaging filmmaking classes and workshops and a unique programme of film making activities for ages 5-18.
All our programmes are underpinned by Project Based Learning educational methodologies and celebrate child-led creativity.
Our weekly film making classes help young film makers to develop their skills, grow in confidence and expand their imaginations.
Our fun holiday camps promote creativity and help introduce children to the joy of making movies and are designed to develop skills, build confidence, expand imaginations and encourage a love of creativity and storytelling.

This summer, our young filmmakers will explore the theme of Great Escapes in a range of creative ways!
The group will take influence from the likes of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Ocean’s 8, Labyrinth and The Italian Job explore to create their own heist or escape film.
They will learn how to create compelling characters, breakdown scripts and tell stories visually.
By the end of the week, children will have applied these filmmaking techniques to their own original Great Escapes masterpiece!
Our workshops run from Monday 15th August to Friday 19th August and are priced at £250 for the week.
Parents can contact Tim Berry at [email protected] to express an interest, chat further or book a place on the course.
