BCP Council has announced exciting news for Poole Park. Local families will be able to enjoy two improved play areas with bespoke new features.
The aim is to improve the existing design and ‘introduce a play landscape for all ages and abilities throughout the park’. The plans include references to Poole’s history and the local area, as well as ‘playable landscapes outside of the formal play areas’.
The Westfield play area (the large playground nearest to the lagoon and town centre entrance) will have a ‘Jungle Adventure’ theme, including a large climbing frame and slide, a jungle camp, a jungle gym and waterfall cableways.
The Cygnet play area (the smaller playground next to the Ark Soft Play) will become ‘The Play Explorer’s Area’. It’ll include a fully accessible sand play area, the Elements Carving Trail and a playhouse for younger kids.
But best of all, local families are invited to get involved in the plans with this activity sheet. Complete the sheet with your children and send it to BCP Council. Find more details here.
And if you’d like to see the design in detail, you can find it on the BCP Council official website here.
